ALEX Reid claimed his romance with Jordan was a bigger story than Michael Jackson’s death.

Alex Reid’s boast shocked CBB fans and housemates. He bragged his relationship with glamour girl Kaite Price, 31, and the King of Pop’s tragedy were the top two stories of 2009.

But footie hardman Vinnie Jones, 45, was far from impressed.

Show insiders revealed: “You could tell Vinnie was losing it with Alex.

“He’s already made it clear he’s in Team Andre and thinks Alex is a bit of a no-mark. To put yourself in the same league as Michael Jackson is a sick joke. After all, he was one of the world’s biggest-ever stars.

“Vinnie seems keen on bringing Alex back down to Earth with a massive bump.”

Despite telling host Davina McCall, 42, that he wanted to get out from Kate’s shadow, all Alex, 34, has done is boast about his relationship with the model.

Now he is facing an internet backlash from viewers who have vowed to give him the boot.

Alex confessed: “In the summer in the press, the two big stories were Michael Jackson dying and Kate and Peter splitting, and me.”

“People don’t like Kate and it’s Saint Peter.

“I don’t think I am good for Kate’s image because of the custody battle going on.

“I’ve had to grow up a lot over the last six months, it’s been a steep learning curve for me.” But Vinnie told him: “Why don’t you all just sit round a table and discuss it like adults?”

“I’d love to,” Alex told him.

Internet forums are buzzing with angry rants from viewers who claim Alex is ruining the show.

One said: “Who the hell does he think he is?

“He is a nobody yet he’s giving it the big I am. Get over yourself. Better yet – GET OUT!”

And another said: “Jordan isn’t even in the show and she’s ruining it.

“We need to get those two numpties Alex and Dane out. As long as they are in there, then the show will have a connection to her.”

Meanwhile, former Hollyoaks actor Alex says he is planning to have his ears and nose restructured because of damage done cage-fighting.

Alex admitted: “It’s all getting sorted.”

Firstly the first paragraph is misleading and spun for whatever agenda the daily star has with promoting this man and Jordan. He did not say that the story was bigger than michael jacksons death. As you can see by carrying on reading the article. Also the caption underneath a picture of him says "Alex Reid thinks he was a big news story". I don't think he was a big new story, unfortunately the Daily Star putting him, Jordan or Peter Andre on the front cover almost every day makes it a big story for the Daily Star. ” ( Inappropriate Comment?
